Our little girl is 3 months old today! She is growing like crazy and weighs about 13 1/2 pounds. Chuncky to say the least, but we love her that way.
I celebrated the occasion by having a melt-down proceeded by falling off a bar stool. Yep, it was not my best day! How many melt-downs is a mother allowed to have by the time her child is 3 months old? I think I may have exceeded my limit...

I say one meltdown a day is good!
I am so sorry about the melt down..those are never fun. She sure is a cute 3 month old though. :)
Praying for you!
Hang in there - hopefully everything will look better in the morning. :)
I hope there isn't a melt down limit, because I'm sure I've already exceeded it...you aren't alone in that department! It is always a good reminder to me of how inadequate I am for this job, and how much I need the Lord's strength and grace to face each day. I couldn't do this on my own!
You're allowed two per day, according to the Mom Handbook, but the rules also state that you're allowed to carry over all unused meltdowns for a worse day, and that there will be a limit of ten backlogged meltdowns per day on top of your two allotted. After that they tend to come and take you away in a straight jacket, and I should know! Don't forget how close I live, and don't hesitate to call if you need to get out and go to the Home For Runaway Mothers (also known as Hobby Lobby) for a while. I'll welcome any girl-baby time, even if she's a cranky girl baby! :o)
Awww, I'm pretty sure there isn't a limit because I've had my fair share. Brooke we are just around the corner, so een if you want me and Jayden to come sit with her for a couple hours while you catch up on things or take a nap, I would be glad to!
Plus, I owe you a few babysitting sessions! But, seriously give me a call if you need to cause I would LOVE to help!
What a doll. Sorry about the melt downs, I'm sure I'll start having those all too soon...
Just wondering if you were in a bar when you fell off the bar stool. I'm just following the statement to it's logical end! Ha ha Teresa
P.S. I fell off my computer chair the other day for no apparant reason. Re-damaged the wrist that I fought the mixer with.
Ha Ha Teresa! No, I was actually standing on it trying to dust the top of a cabinet. I'm a little sore today! :o) I enjoyed the mental image of you just randomly falling out of the computer chair. Thanks for the laugh!
One day at a time is the key, the meltdowns definitely get to be fewer and fewer. Hope Josh told you about that sleep/nap book. It has some great advice even though it looks like a hard read.
Oh Brooke...I am sorry you had a hard day...it gets so much better though, as they grow older. So, keep hanging in there...those first months are so hard. We are praying for you guys.
Aww, Brookies! Why is it that they forget to tell us just how hard it is to be a Mom? On the upside, baby number two is waaayyy easier. After having gone through those hard months with the first one, we realize how quickly they really did pass, and it makes the second time around so much easier.
In the meantime, she sure is cute!
here's what you need to do: have a mini vacation at my house!! no bar stools in sight, in case you're worried...
