Thought I would try out some textures like the fabulous April talked about on her blog. (For some reason I can't link to the exact post, but if you go to her blog, scroll all the way down and click "older posts" twice you will find the post I'm talking about.)
Now, I know I broke the "subtilty is key" rule, but I really wanted these to look dramaticly old. I can't decide on the stop sign one if I should go back and adjust the opacity a little more so it isn't quite so dark... what do you think? Is it too much, or does it just look really oldish?

I like the heavy look of the textures on these but since the texture is what's standing out I would suggest either doing a contrast layer or a soft light layer. I love the pop that a soft light layer gives.
