A spring popped on the inside and they said it would cost WAY more to fix it than the camera is worth. (I can't remember the technical term... it's the reflector thingy-see how much I really know about cameras!) She was so bummed, but I think she's going to get a D90 and enroll in TCC so she can actually learn how to use it.

Yes, it's the Tamron. I LOVE IT!!! Mom's camera is broken, so I get to play with it until she gets a new one. I'm not pushing her to hurry. :o)

That really sucks.
tell her she should take a class at apertures instead. Her money would be better spent there. And she wouldn't have tests!
Why was I thinking apertures would not be a good place? She should listen to Andrea and not me. :)
Now that you mention it, she did say something about classes at Apertures. I will have to remind her about that.
