How funny. That is SO typical of Indian movies. You know, they put out hundreds of movies a year. Way more than Hollywood puts out. Their movies always have musicals thrown in there. I was waiting for the crowd of people to be dancing and they didn't disappoint. Near the end of the song there was a bunch of dancers. It's always the same, VERY cheesy and lots of movement.
Notice how they kept toying with the idea of kissing lips, but didn't get around to it? Kissing in Indian programming has been such a taboo, but they are slowly opening up to it.
The first time I saw Indian dancing/musical thing like this, it was a showing of different songs from different movies. I laughed for about two hours straight, because I thought they were kidding, but they weren't. Indians really like this stuff.
(Sorry for the long response... and about such an "unspiritual" thing! Shame on me! :> )
That was so pointless that I posted it on the "Completely Pointless and Arbitrary" message boards, a place where I spend way too much time. It was a huge hit, and may win "Pointless Music Video of the Year" at the Bob awards. If it does, I'll certainly give you credit in my acceptance speech! :o)
